Maura Foley

Biography

 

Maura, Originally from Offaly, has a B.Ed with French and has studied Acting for two years at the Gaiety School of Acting (2006-08).
In the past she has been involved in various productions, including The importance of Being Earnest (Cecily Cardew),Yerma (Yerma), Cinderella (Cinderella), The Tinkers Wedding (Sarah Casey) and A Midsummer Nights Dream (Helena) to name a few.

She has  Featured in Red Gorilla Productions award winning comedy series Langerland T.V for RTE. (2007-08),She also played a supporting role in a reconstruction drama for Midas productions for TG4. (2009), Battle of the Sexes for Tyrone productions (2009), and On God's Mission (2010) also for Tyrone Productions.

 

Maura will be working on the second series of SCIENCE FICTION, a children's show for RTE, 2011. Science Fiction is a series of high-paced, science-themed multimedia cartoons taking an irreverent, off-kilter look at the world of science & technology. Presented by Dr. Sorcha Knowles, a bright, young South Dublin scientist, and her rather less-refined, old-school side-kick Professor Mike McCork, Science Fiction will attempt to debunk many of the most common scientific myths. Awards:

Glassjaw has been nominated for an award at the Polish Short Film festival in November 2010.

The Core Theatre Company won best Costume Design award at the Irish Theatre Awards 2010.

Glassjaw was nominated for a RTS (Royal Television Society) Student Award February 2011
